No, sometimes colleges just do random checks on random people, as required by the govt, to make sure that they are in code with their policies. I’ve been asked for my tax returns for checks too just to double check them - it’s all for regulation purposes and federal bylaws. bla bla…
As long as the information on your FAFSA application was honest, then there will be no problem. Sometimes something puts up a red flag, and other times it’s just a random check that they complete.
