Is it possible to take out a second mortgage on a condo where I currently live and use the money as a down payment on a new condo I want to buy as a rental?
I should say: I have excellent credit and my only debt is the current mortgage.

My husband and I are very seriously thinking about refinancing our current mortgage through Quicken Loans (online). What do you know about this company? Have you ever financed through it? I haven’t really heard anything bad about them… I just haven’t heard anything at all.. which concerns me. My husband foolishly says, "no news is good news…" Is he right? Tell me what you know!!! Please help this newlywed couple out!!

My ex-husband and I are both co-borrowers on a mortgage. I want to re-finance the mortgage in my name only (I have excellent credit with a good debt-to-income ratio, so this shouldn’t be a problem as far as my credit is concerned). I would like to re-finance for about ,000 more than my current mortgage, so I can use the extra funds to "buy him out" of the mortgage. He has agreed to this. We currently have ,000 in equity. Do mortgage companies allow you to have a higher mortgage and "cash out" the remaining funds (in this case roughly ,000)?

I have had too many delays with the current mortgage broker I am working with, so I looked for another broker as backup. They are offering a lower interest rate and have pre-approved me-how do I tell the first one that I am going with the other lender?

I got a letter from this company and it knows how much I owe on my current mortgage. What I’d like to know is how they can offer to lower my fixed rate without closing costs and fees (as stated in their letter)? Sounds like some sort of scam? Anyone heard of Vertex before?

We are moving and selling the first home.
We are in good standing with the current mortgage company.
We have lived here for almost 3 years- we have had two payments that have been a few days late.

Also, will they keep us at our current interest rate?
